Some stories are written in the stars. Ours was written on the railroad tracks. Takisha and Norman met while he was on a special duty assignment.

She says:

Our paths crossed from time to time, and though life moved on, the connection lingered and the curiosity lingered as well. Many years later, I took a leap and invited him out for a Super Bowl date. From that moment, I was captivated by his charm, his sense of humor, and confidence.

He says:
I was on special duty at work and given a crew of conductors to help out. Takisha was part of that crew and thats when I noticed her, first, her vibrant personality and that unforgettable, contagious smile. She had this habit of laughing at her own jokes before she could even finish them. The funny part wasn’t always the joke itself-it was her laughter that lit up the room and got everyone else laughing too. As I got to know her better , my admiration only grew. I found her to be strong, intelligent, and fiercely independent. What struck me the most was her authenticity, what you saw was what you get. No pretense, just her.”

They say:
The Super Bowl date marked the beginning of something truly special. We quickly discovered a deep and natural connection, grounded in shared passions: a love for travel, discovering new cuisines, cozy movie nights, and an unwavering affection for animals. What started as admiration soon blossomed into love.

The proposal
While doing one of their favorite things-cruising, enjoying what they loved most in a moment that felt just right-Norman got down on one knee and asked Takisha the question that would change everything. With love, joy, and great enthusiasm, she said “Yes” to forever.
In him, Takisha has found joy, peace, and the beautiful promise of a lifetime together. And in her, Norman has found the one who understands him, supports him, and loves him beyond measure. In each other, they found the heart of a best friend and the soul of a partner for life.
